Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina has given his approval for the disbursement of a significant scholarship fund totaling N38.5 million, benefiting 77 students hailing from the state and pursuing their legal studies at the prestigious Nigerian Law School. This momentous decision, aimed at providing crucial financial support to the students, was formally announced by Mr. Salisu Lawal-Kerau, the spokesperson of the State Scholarship Board, in a statement released on Saturday in Katsina.
The allocated funds, earmarked as maintenance allowances, cover the academic years of 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 for the deserving 77 law students. This proactive step underscores the government’s commitment to alleviating the economic challenges faced by students, especially in the current climate, and serves as a testament to the state’s dedication to fostering educational advancement.
