Flickers of Hope Foundation successfully held its monthly Leadership Training for scholarship beneficiaries on Saturday, 11th July 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM.
The training commenced with an engaging Book Club Session, where beneficiaries spent an hour reading, discussing, and sharing valuable lessons from selected books. This session encouraged a culture of reading, critical thinking, and meaningful conversations among the participants.
At 10:00 AM, the leadership training commenced with participants grouped according to their respective classes.
One class explored the topic “Personal Development: Being Resourceful and Being Creative.” The session emphasized the importance of maximizing available resources, developing innovative thinking, solving problems creatively, and recognizing that limitations should never hinder personal growth or success. Participants were encouraged to cultivate a mindset of initiative, adaptability, and continuous learning.
The second class focused on “Personal Development: Self-Discipline.” The facilitator highlighted the significance of self-discipline as a foundation for academic excellence, leadership, and personal success. Beneficiaries learned about setting priorities, managing time effectively, making responsible decisions, resisting distractions, and building habits that lead to long-term achievement.
The training concluded with an interactive Question and Answer Session, during which participants sought clarification on key concepts and shared practical examples of how they intend to apply the lessons in their daily lives.
To round off the session, beneficiaries reflected on what they had learned. Many shared that they now better understand the importance of being creative in solving problems, making wise use of available resources, and developing the self-discipline needed to achieve their goals. The reflections demonstrated that the training had inspired them to become more intentional about their personal growth and leadership journey.
The session ended on a positive note, with beneficiaries leaving encouraged, equipped, and motivated to put the lessons into practice as they continue to grow into responsible and impactful leaders.
