She has received numerous awards including the 2016 Honour Nigeria Community Development Award by Trinity House, the 2014 Le Roche Exemplary Leadership Award by Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, (former Governor of Lagos State) and was a nominee of the Global Foundation Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2013.
Being passionate about young people getting the right education and guidance, she has authored various books such as “FLOW: a girl’s guide to menstruation and There Is a New Virus in Town: a coronavirus awareness book for children.”
Her thoughts on education and acquiring knowledge: “Education opens your mind and helps you know more about the world.
Education and schooling are two different things; education should not be restricted to just what you learn in school. You have to be deliberate about getting an education. Don’t just allow passive education.
Also, “life is about learning and unlearning. Unlearning may be difficult most times but it is very important.”
Engaging with Raquel Daniel is life changing!
