He is trained in Human Rights and Development, Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Cycle Management, cash transfers, ICT and Accounting. He is a certified national accountant, a certified fraud examiner and a member of the Disaster Response network.  He has worked with several Multinational development partners in delivering humanitarian services in the north east and has worked on the conditional cash transfers programme of the Social Investment Programmes (NSIP).

He has been involved with the education sector for over 2 decades working on adult literacy and most recently the Out Of School Children (OOSC).  He has developed several training manuals on Monitoring and Evaluation and has conducted evaluations on the MDGs, humanitarian projects in the North East, Misereor funded projects and for organisations across the country.  He has trained staff of some government agencies in Monitoring and evaluation and is currently consulting on the ARC-P initiative of the Federal Government on the monitoring and evaluation component.

Ify Obidi-Essien :Education in Focus 2nd Quarter, 2022

 

Ify Obidi-Essien is an Edu-Tech Consultant and a Microsoft Global Training Partner, passionate about driving digital transformation in education through technology solutions for educators. Her passion to raise Tech-Savvy Teachers can be seen in the activities she engages educators with on her Facebook community of over 6,700 educators and Microsoft certification programs she organizes nationwide.

 

She is the CEO of Tech-Savvy Teacher International, an EdTech Consultancy firm that offers Technology services in form of training and Consultation, school management software integration, and installation of Classroom technologies which provides an educational transformational framework upon which the goals of educational stakeholders are met. The 12th edition of the Tech-Savvy Teacher Masterclass which held at the United Arab Emirates, Dubai in February 2020, served as an eyeopener to the Nigerian educational system for the need to integrate the Flipped Classroom Model which is needed to met the needs of the 21st-century child.

 

Her book, ARISE serves as a springboard to Educators globally to become the upgraded version of themselves. She has featured in the SUN publication, Wazobia TV, Wazobia FM, TVC, Kids and Mum TV show, Inspirational FM, and other platforms too numerous to mention.

 

For 5 years she has spearheaded technology trainings for teachers (Tech-Savvy Teacher Masterclass) in different states in Nigeria, Delta, FCT, Edo, Lagos, Benue, Oyo, River State. These trainings have led to classroom digital transformation across schools in Nigeria. Her passion to equip African Teachers with technology skills and knowledge can be seen in her most recent Microsoft Certified Educator Program which has produced over 200 qualified educators who can compete at a global standard.

 

She runs a Foundation for young women within the ages of 16-24 years called the B.I.G Girls Foundation. B.I.G is an acronym for Beautiful, Intelligent and Godly Girls. This platform helps to equip and prepare young women with skills and knowledge they need to live successfully in today’s world.

She is happily married to Ayo Essien, a Digital Marketing Expert and together they have two lovely children, Charis and Chris.

Ebuka Obika Ede : Education in Focus Maiden Edition (1st Quarter 2022)

Boys/Men Development Coach

Founder, Save the Boys Initiative

He is into Boys Development and Youth Mentoring. He does this through Mentoring, coaching and training them in life, leadership and purpose, also by acting as parent partner. He sees to the total development of boys and advocates for their well-being. He has certificates in Emotional Intelligence, Teens Mentoring and Organizational Leadership.

He is a graduate of Sociology with Msc in Organizational Leadership (in-view). He also has certificate in Non-Profit Leadership Management Course from Lagos Business School.

For over a decade, he has taught Boys, Teenagers and Youths in a unique, practical and humorous way to learn personal responsibility, breaking and overcoming addictions and leadership.

He is a TedX speaker and also speaks at Youth conferences, Seminars, Schools, Churches, Youth and Parents platforms.

He offers consultancy services for individuals and families.

As way of sharing feedback from my experience with the boys, we convene the ‘Boys Leadership Academy’, ‘Total Men Online Summit”, Mentoring Clubs for Boys and convene the annual ‘International Boys Conference’ as a platform to train boys and men on how to positive and productive lives.

He received the National Volunteers Award in 2020 on his work for humanity and listed among the top 10 finalist for Nigeria Diversity Award.

He is the Author of ‘The Journey into Manhood’ that is a great resource for Boys and young men.

He is happily married to Ruth and their union of over 4 years is blessed with 1 biological daughter and many foster sons.
