NIGERIA ARISE! THERE IS HOPE
Green white green is Nigeria
The giant of Africa
Our people are all over
God bless our home and culture
Green spells the gift of nature
White tells the world we are peaceful
Our flag us wealth and freedom
From foreign lands and kingdoms.
Behold our flowing rivers
Visit kanji and Niger
They splash with victory as they unite to travel.
Oh! Our maker, hear Nigeria, her sons and daughters
The war has broken from within our borders
The love that has kept us firmly together is falling away like an old birds feathers.
White we stand at akimbo in pride and hate and watch, waste away, our common fate.
Nigeria my country drowning in the pool of her blood
Spilled by her children moving in a circle
A cycle of greed and corruption
A cycle the races towards destruction
Nigeria my beloved people, a people that thirsts, a people that hunger
Awaken the strength of our finding fathers; it is born in us, our inheritance
The times are passing, by seasons and weathers
Our hope is not in place of governance.
The youths they refused to give the way
The old have refused to take a rest
Though their brains does not contend the current test
Everywhere is in confusion.
The leaders are in contradiction
Masses continually killed like sheep
Corruption, nepotism the watch wards
Let’s fight to salvage her.
