The Teens Leadership Club held on Saturday, 2nd May 2026 was highly engaging and impactful session on “Communication and Influence.” The meeting focused on helping teens understand the power of communication as a key leadership skill and how positive influence can shape relationships, decisions, and future opportunities.
Highlights from the Session
1. Effective Communication
Participants learned that effective communication goes beyond speaking—it involves expressing ideas clearly, confidently, and respectfully. The teens were encouraged to think before speaking, use appropriate words, and communicate in ways that promote understanding.
2. Active Listening
The session emphasized the importance of listening attentively and respectfully. Teens learned that good leaders are not only good speakers but also intentional listeners who pay attention, ask questions, and seek to understand others before responding.
3. Assertive Communication
The teens explored how to communicate their thoughts, feelings, and opinions confidently without being rude, aggressive, or disrespectful. They were encouraged to speak up for themselves while maintaining respect for others.
4. Public Speaking Skills
Participants were introduced to practical public speaking tips such as maintaining eye contact, speaking clearly, organizing thoughts, and overcoming nervousness. Some of the teens also had the opportunity to practice speaking before the group, which boosted their confidence.
Outcome of the Session
The session was interactive, practical, and inspiring. Participants left with a better understanding of how strong communication skills can increase their confidence, strengthen relationships, and position them as positive influencers among their peers.
The Teens Leadership Club continues to provide a safe and empowering platform where young people are equipped with leadership values and life skills needed to thrive in today’s world.
