The Annual Parent Seminar was successfully held on Friday, 1st May 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM. The seminar brought together parents, educators, and young people for an engaging and insightful session focused on strengthening parental awareness and capacity in raising informed, confident, and protected children in today’s world.
The event commenced with an opening teaching session delivered by the Executive Director. Her presentation set the tone for the seminar, highlighting the urgent need for intentional parenting in a rapidly changing society. She emphasized the importance of open communication between parents and children, early value formation, emotional support, and the responsibility of parents to equip their children with the right knowledge, confidence, and protective skills needed to navigate present-day challenges.
Following the teaching session, members of the Teens Leadership Club presented a short playlet. The drama was both educative and thought-provoking, portraying practical issues that children and teenagers often face in everyday life. Through their performance, the teens effectively communicated the importance of parental involvement, listening, guidance, and awareness. The playlet served as a relatable and impactful illustration of many of the concerns raised during the teaching session.
A panel discussion and question-and-answer session followed, featuring panelists who addressed key concerns relating to parenting, child development, communication gaps, discipline, peer influence, and child protection. The session created room for practical engagement, as panelists shared helpful perspectives, experiences, and strategies that parents could apply in their homes.
At the close of the panel session, parents were given the opportunity to ask questions and share personal concerns. This interactive segment was particularly valuable, as it allowed parents to seek clarity on pressing issues affecting their children and families. The responses provided were practical, relevant, and encouraging, further deepening the value of the seminar.
Overall, the Annual Parent Seminar was impactful, timely, and highly educative. Participants left the program better informed, more equipped, and encouraged to take a more intentional approach to parenting. The seminar successfully created awareness on the realities children face today while also empowering parents with knowledge and practical tools for raising informed, confident, and protected children.
