The October 2024 edition of the Teens Leadership Club, held on Saturday, 5th of October, 2024 was another educative, interactive and interesting session with the teens. The theme for October was tagged “Time and Opportunity.” Lessons were taught in a question and answer session. Our teens were enlightened that Time is one of the most valuable resources, especially at this stage of their lives, and to maximize their time and opportunities they need to set clear goals, prioritize and stay adaptable, and the best way to set clear goals is by being intentional. After the lesson, they were teamed up into four persons per group; The pace setters and achievers were given a topic to debate on “Leaders should be held to higher moral standards than everyone else”, and they shared their various opinions. The aim of this debate topic is to challenge our teens to think about the balance between democracy and decisive leadership. The trail blazers groups were also given a fun topic, to debate on “A good leader always listens to the majority opinion”, and they shared their various opinions. The aim of the topic is to open up a discussion on whether leaders should be judged differently and whether power requires greater accountability. They were all impacted positively.
