Flickers of Hope Foundation March edition of the Teens Leadership Club was a wonderful moment of mind enrichment and application of knowledge to solve basic life problems. The March meeting was held on Saturday, 5th March 2022. Our general class theme was tagged Communication. The teaching was centred on how teens can influence correctly by communicating effectively.
During our three sub-group practical classes, the teens in the Media/ICT group were taught on math literacy: basic steps for solving quantitative reasoning (word) problems with practical life examples and take-home tasks. The teens in Creativity Group learned essential creative writing tips. While the teens in the Public Speaking Group were exposed to essential public speaking features.
Responses from the teens during all sessions were impressive. They shared how the program had been of great impact to them, how it has given them the right perspective on life, and the new things, they were able to learn within a space of 3 hours.
Other meeting features:
- Our Teens Leadership Club Library is focused on building a good reading culture and helping our teens’ vocabulary. Teens borrow books monthly from the Library.
- Curriculum-specific fun games and activities e.g spelling games, communication exercises, etc. contributed to making our March Teens Club meeting awesome, fun, and educative.
The March meeting was also a unique day for all our club members born in the month of January, February, and March. To crown the day, the management organized a general mind-blowing birthday celebration to mark their birthdays in a grand style.
