Our last teens leadership club meeting which was held on Saturday, 6th June 2022 was awesome. Our teens were taken through a topic, “Cross-Cultural awareness,” helping them understand to appreciate and best accommodate others even when their thoughts, beliefs, and decisions don’t agree with theirs, and be able to build positive relationships.
The importance of cross-cultural awareness and ways of achieving cultural awareness was also discussed. The general class ended with the teens talking about their states of origin, ethnic groups, language, and the unique traits of their people. The aim of the subject matter is to empower the children with the correct knowledge to shun violence now, and also in the future, and to enable them to live in peace and unity with people around them and strive well in a new environment.

The fun didn’t end there. Fun spelling games were done. Later in the day, the teens were distributed into their practical groups of Public Speaking, Creativity, ICT and Media, where they were engaged in mass communication class, drama, drawing, typing tests respectively, etc.
Once again, our teens were able to relax, learn, and definitely grow with new knowledge acquired.

The FOH Teens leadership Club is a mentorship club for preteens and teens between the ages of 9 to 19. It is a place where we groom leaders that will change the world for the better.
