Our December Teens Club meeting was a special wrap-up session dedicated to revisiting all the key lessons taught from January to November 2025. It was an engaging, interactive, and insightful session where the teens reflected on what they had learned and how these principles have shaped their thoughts, attitude, and daily habits.
Below is the summary of the major topics reviewed:
- UNDERSTANDING MINDSET
We revisited the meaning of mindset—how our thought patterns shape our behavior, choices, and results. The teens discussed how mindset influences the way we learn, respond to challenges, and relate with others.
- FIXED VERSUS GROWTH MINDSET
The class reflected on the difference between:
- Fixed Mindset: believing abilities are static.
- Growth Mindset: believing abilities can be developed through effort, learning, and persistence.
Teens shared examples of how adopting a growth mindset helped them improve academically and personally throughout the year.
- THE RESILIENCE MINDSET
We reviewed the importance of bouncing back from setbacks. Teens talked about how resilience helped them stay focused despite school stress, peer pressure, or personal challenges.
- THE GRATITUDE MINDSET
We emphasized the power of gratitude—focusing on what is good, acknowledging progress, and appreciating the people around us. Teens shared things they were grateful for and how gratitude improved their mood and relationships.
- NEGATIVE AND LIMITING MINDSETS
The group explored common limiting beliefs such as “I’m not good enough” or “I can’t do it.”
We discussed how these thoughts hold us back and how to replace them with empowering and positive truths.
- SELF-AWARENESS
Teens reflected on the journey of discovering who they are—their strengths, weaknesses, triggers, emotions, and values. They were reminded that self-awareness is the first step to personal growth and wise decision-making.
- SELF-BELIEF AND SELF-CONFIDENCE
We reviewed how confidence grows when we trust our abilities, try new things, and embrace small successes. Teens shared moments when they took bold steps and surprised themselves.
- PROCRASTINATION VERSUS TAKING ACTION
The class discussed the dangers of procrastination and the habit of “pushing things till later.”
We emphasized the importance of:
- planning,
- setting priorities,
- taking small steps immediately.
Teens highlighted areas where they improved in being more proactive this year.
- THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING
We revisited how positive thinking shapes our emotions, decisions, and results. Teens learned again that optimism is not ignoring reality, but choosing to see possibilities and solutions.
- REFLECTING AND GROWING MINDFULLY: END-OF-YEAR REFLECTION
To close the session, we guided the teens through a mindful end-of-year reflection. They considered:
- What did I learn this year?
- What habits helped me?
- What do I want to improve in 2026?
- What am I grateful for?
- Who did I become this year?
The session ended with each teen identifying one key mindset they want to carry into the new year and one habit they want to drop.
Observations & Highlights
- Many teens testified that this year’s lessons helped them deal with peer pressure, school stress, doubts, and insecurities more confidently and positively.
- Some shared how practicing gratitude and positive thinking changed their mood, relationships, and outlook on life.
- Several committed to more disciplined habits — using time better, studying more consistently, writing daily, speaking positive words.
- A few recognized destructive mindsets they held earlier, and with new awareness, are letting go of limiting thoughts.
